WHAT WE DO?

1. TROA serves as a unifying voice for the interests of owners and provides effective representation of those interests to and before regulatory and legislative bodies, as well as other industry bodies.
2. TROA serves as a clearinghouse of industry information in relation matters of owner's interest. It is able to provide or seek out answers to members' questions.
3. TROA, through newsletters and other correspondence ensures that members are kept apprised of issues effecting their interests.
4. TROA produces papers/submissions on behalf of owners in putting forward their views to both government and controlling bodies within the thoroughbred racing industry.
5. TROA disseminates educational/professional papers presented at Owner forums nationally and internationally.
6. TROA provides various member benefits including arrangements with RaceClubs for free entry passes and use of designated facilities on racedays. special discounts with traders are negotiated from time to time.
7. TROA negotiates with the controlling organisation for reductions to owners' race day costs.
8. TROA arranges sponsorships/awards that are beneficial to owners.
9. TROA represents owners at a natinal level through its affiliation with the National Racehorse Owners Association (NROAA).
10. TROA seeks out and provides details of any outbreaks of equine diseases through it's various relationships/affiliations.
11. TROA cooperates with other industry participants in various programmes and projects critical to the racing industry.
12. TROA arranges a number of social functions during the year for members to meet including annual dinner functions, meetings, barbecues etc, where owners have an opportunity to meet one another and to share experiences.
